In 1985, he started as an inbetweener and became an animator in Burbank Animation Studios, an Australian owned studio based in Manila. He then moved to Optifex Animation in 1986 and worked there as a character animator for shows like Jonny Quest, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear's New Adventure and Dino's Dilemma. In 1987, Wincat then joined Fil-Cartoons, a subsidiary studio of Hanna Barbera in Manila. There, he worked on several shows like Pirates of the Dark Water, Tom and Jerry Kids Show, Jonny Quest, The Smurfs, Paddington Bear, The Addams Family, Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf.
In 1994, he made a big decision by coming to America and worked as an animator for 7th Level, a multi-media company that produces educational and interactive cd rom games like "The Universe According to Virgil's reality" and "Howie's Great Word Adventure".
He also did some freelance animation job for Fox Animation thru 7th Level for the feature film "Anastasia" and for Bear Animation "The beautician and the beast" and "Bartok". After that, he joined Dan Kuenster's Zoom Cartoons studio as a character animator and storyboard artist in 1998 and then later on moved to Stan Lee Media in 1999 as an animator.
In 2001, He moved to the Nickelodeon Animation Studio as a storyboard artist and sheet timer for "Dora the Explorer" and later on transfered to "The Fairly Odd Parents" and "Danny Phantom" as a board revisionist, storyboard artist and director.
